Love it. Not sure there's a better place to visit in the UK, and now there's a superb place to stay. Anyone who know the location will not need telling how good it is. The hotel itself has clearly had money spent on it and is totally deserving of such a building. The service and food (breakfast and evening meals) were great. The food prices are not at all overpriced - it does tend to put me off if I get the feeling I'm being overcharged for what I get, but this is absolutely not the case. I also get the feeling the staff know they are working in a special place, they feel proud to be there and love doing what they do
The hotel Victoria is a gorgeous hotel set in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the sea and overlooking robin hoods bay . The staff , food and service is exceptional. We had a wonderful 3 night stay which I had booked as a surprise for my husband’s 60th birthday . We are planning a return visit in the summer because we would like to enjoy the terrace and outside space a little more when the weather isn’t what you would expect in February. Thoroughly enjoyable stay .. please visit
Celebrating birthday and wedding anniversary we decided we would like to spend our four day break at the Victoria Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay. We are SO glad we did. The staff were absolutely brilliant....friendly, courteous and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and very clean......cannot fault anything at this hotel. Thanks guys for making our celebrations more special and we hope to return next year.
My partner and i stopped for lunch on a Saturday in November. Lovely outside seating area wirh amazing views but decided to sit inside as it was a bit fresh out and dog friendly! Got here around 12 and it was nice and quiet. Partner had the burger and I had the belly pork, both large portions and delicious! By 1pm it had filled up but there was still the odd table available.
This was a birthday treat for my husband’s birthday, we were given a beautiful sea view room on the top floor (room 7) the weather wasn’t great but still it didn’t stop us enjoying the views! We were given complimentary Whitby gin and tonic and a slice birthday cake We had our evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning was delicious The staff were so friendly and welcoming We will definitely be coming back again soon Thankyou for a wonderful stay
Lovely hotel in an amazing location overlooking the sea. The rooms were well laid out and very clean, the welcome G&T was a nice touch. Fantastic choice for breakfast and all staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Amazing location with views over the bay, sitting in the breakfast room and watching the sun come up was just beautiful. Lovely room in the captains quarters, super comfy bed, nice and clean and delightful little extras ( gin and tonic was a lovely surprise). All the staff were attentive and friendly, breakfast had a superb selection of continental and hot food , all of a high quality. Will definitely stay again.
Exceptional service! We had a fantastic two night stay with our dog. Can’t praise this hotel highly enough. The staff were amazing. So professional and friendly. The room was gorgeous and we ate in the pub both nights, where the food was delicious. Especially the whitebait, the mussels and the sea bass. We didn’t want to come home! As soon as we can we will book again for next year!!
We always come over to Robin Hoods Bay to eat at the Victoria Hotel when we visit Scarborough. As we bring a dog we have to eat in the bar only but it's a warm & welcoming comfortable space & the staff are excellent. Great choices of gin & the extensive menu is fab offering good choices for all dietary requirements whether you want a fullain course or a small plate/light bite.
Visited Hotel Victoria with my partner to try and beat the January blues & it worked! This hotel is gorgeous. The interior is divine and you can just tell that a lot of effort has gone in to all of the design choices. The staff couldn't be more helpful. They are all polite, kind and knowledgeable and really make you feel like a valued guest. The hotel is beautifully located just at the top of Robin Hood's Bay and has incredible views of the sea. I love that the hotel has a bar and a pub to chose from. Breakfast was brilliant and we also booked an afternoon tea, which was delightful. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!
